39J3696 is IBM's 70 GB disk drive with CCIN 4327, from the POWER5 system parts table. It is the RoHS-compliant number, and 39J1469 is the non-RoHS alternate.
IBM lists it for the 9405-520, 9406-520, 9406-525, 9406-550, 9406-570, 9406-595, 9407-515 and 9411-100. The 9407-515 appears on this entry but not on the 35 GB and 140 GB entries beside it.
The neighbouring disk entries are the 35 GB drive (CCIN 4326: 39J3695 and 39J3698, non-RoHS 39J1468 and 97P2990), the 140 GB drive (CCIN 4328: 39J3697 and 39J3700, non-RoHS 39J1470 and 97P2993), and the 283 GB drive (CCIN 4329), which IBM lists in burned-in (42R6677) and non-burned-in (42R6676) versions.
The entry that follows, 6600, covers the disk unit and carrier. For that case IBM says to remove the disk unit from the system to determine the part number of the failing component.
