X379A is NetApp's part number for a 960GB Kioxia PM5 drive in ONTAP systems, with model ID X379_TPM5V960ATE. It belongs to a set of four 960GB PM5 parts in NetApp's Knowledge Base; the others are X371A, X374A and X386A. NetApp gives each of them a distinct model ID prefix, so the label and the ONTAP model string are the reliable way to tell X379A apart. The listed firmware target for X379A is NA56. NetApp issued the PM5 maintenance firmware to pick up a wear leveling correction and a power loss protection change that prevents the 04-44-DC condition during power on. At 3.8TB, NetApp lists further PM5 parts such as X357A and X358A that also update to NA56.
