3580-H8S: IBM TS2280 LTO-8 Half-High SAS stand-alone tape drive

For LTO-8 stand-alone use, IBM offers the TS2280, ordered as 3580-H8S with a dual-port 6 Gbps SAS interface.

IBM states that it reads and writes Ultrium 8 and 7 cartridges but cannot read Ultrium 6 or earlier, and gives an internal buffer of 1024 MB for its half-high LTO-8 drives. The IBM Tape Library Guide for Open Systems describes it in its LTO Ultrium drive overview.
