AC27: IBM Storwize V5000 900 GB 10k rpm 12 Gb SAS 3.5 Inch HDD (Feature Code AC27)

This model provides one 900 GB 10,000 rpm 12 Gb SAS 3.5 Inch HDD
It is is a 2.5-inch disk drive packaged in a 3.5-inch carrier.
It is supported by IBM on Models x12 and 12F only.
This drive is not compatible with feature ADN2 on the initial machine order.

The Storwize V5000 control enclosure contains drives and two node canisters. Expansion enclosures contain drives and two expansion canisters.

How many drives can I have?

• The Storwize V5030 has support for up to 760 drives per system with the attachment of Storwize V5000 expansion enclosures and up to 1,520 drives with a two- way clustered configuration.
• The Storwize V5020 has support for up to 392 drives per system with the attachment of Storwize V5000 expansion enclosures.
• The Storwize V5010 has support for up to 392 drives per system with the attachment of Storwize V5000 expansion enclosures

All Storwize V5k drives are dual-port and are hot-swap. HDD and SSD can be intermixed (as long as they are the same form factor per enclosure). LFF and SFF expansion enclosures can be intermixed behind the SFF control enclosure.
