JL430A Aruba 3810M 24SFP+ 250W Switch

JL430A is the Aruba 3810M 24SFP+ 250 W Switch in HPE's 3810M product information, the SFP+ model in a family of Layer 3 switches built for performance and resiliency in 1U.

HPE rates it at 480 Gb/s routing/switching capacity, a 508 Gb/s switch fabric and up to 285.7 Mp/s with 64-byte packets.

Latency is under 1.8 µs at 10 Gb/s and under 2.8 µs at 1 Gb, and the tables hold 64,000 MAC entries and 10,000 IPv4 or 5,000 IPv6 routes.

Besides the data ports it has a stacking module slot, an RJ-45 serial console port, an RJ-45 out-of-band management port and a dual-personality RJ-45 or Micro-USB port, plus two power supply slots.

The 3810M power supply list includes a 250 W unit, the X371 12 V dc 250 W supply (JL085A), alongside 680 W and 1050 W X372 supplies.

Switches ship with one JL088A fan tray installed. The unit weighs 6.02 kg (13.28 lb), measures 4.39 x 44.25 x 43.13 cm and mounts in a 19-inch rack, horizontal only.

HPE states that OSPF, IPv6, BGP, Dynamic Segmentation, QoS and policy-based routing come with no software licensing, and that the series uses backplane stacking with redundant hot-swappable power supplies.
