Cisco WS-C3650-48PS-S Catalyst 3650 48-Port PoE+ Switch, IP Base

WS-C3650-48PS-S is the 48-port PoE+ Catalyst 3650 with the standard 640 W AC power supply and the IP Base feature set. Cisco's ordering text lists 48 10/100/1000 PoE+ ports, four 1G SFP uplinks, 1 RU and optional stacking. With the 640 W supply the switch has 390 W of PoE power available, about half the 775 W of the 48FS model with its 1025 W supply. Its weighted average power, before PoE loads, is 97.09 W in Cisco's figures, and it forwards at 77.37 Mpps. IP Base gives Layer 3 access features, and the 3650 can terminate CAPWAP tunnels from access points as a mobility agent. Cisco lists 1,000 switched virtual interfaces, 4,094 VLAN IDs and jumbo frames of 9198 bytes for the series, and StackWise-160 stacks of up to nine switches share one management IP address. Cisco has announced end of sale for the 3650 and recommends the Catalyst 9300. Fit check: add up the PoE draw of the phones and access points to be powered and confirm it fits within 390 W.
