Cisco C1121-4P ISR 1100 Series 4-Port Integrated Services Router

Part of the ISR 1121 family within the Cisco 1000 Series Integrated Services Routers, this is a compact branch router running Cisco IOS XE (16.11.1 or later) or IOS XE SD-WAN (17.2.1 or later). It has two Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports and a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet LAN switch. Optional PoE supplies up to 2 PoE or 1 PoE+ port with the 115 W external power supply. Memory is 4 GB DRAM and 4 GB flash.

Cisco quotes up to 1600 Mbps autonomous IPv4 forwarding and 500 Mbps autonomous IPsec at 512-byte packets, up to 450 Mbps SD-WAN IPsec, and 200 Mbps with QoS, DPI and NetFlow enabled. Maximum power draw is 18.8 W, excluding external supply loss.

Cisco names it as the replacement for the C1111-4P in the ISR 1111 end-of-sale notice. Throughput figures for the two 4-port models are identical; the 1121 chassis is smaller, at 1.65 x 10.80 x 7.85 in and 3.43 lb, against 1.75 x 12.70 x 9.03 in for the 1111. Security licence SKUs also differ (SL-1K-xP-SEC-SV for this family), so review licences when it replaces a C1111.

For more ports, the C1121-8P has 8 LAN ports and up to 700 Mbps SD-WAN IPsec, and the C1121X-8P adds 8 GB of memory. Models with LTE in the name add cellular; a C1121-4PLTEP is a different, cellular model, so check the full PID on the label.
