IBM 32P0769 is the field-replaceable unit for IBM option 32P0768, a 73.4 GB, 15,000 rpm, 2 Gbps Fibre Channel hot-swap disk drive module. IBM announcement letter A03-0189, dated February 17, 2003, introduced the option for the FAStT EXP700 storage expansion unit (1740-1RU and 1740-1RX), the FAStT EXP500 (3560) and the FAStT200 (3542). The letter gives no feature code for this module; it is ordered by option part number. To confirm fit, check the enclosure model against the list above, check the drive's Fibre Channel speed and capacity on its label, and match the FRU or option number.
