HPE 7.68TB NVMe Gen4 Mainstream Performance RI SFF BC U.3 Static V2 SSD, P64848-B21

This is HPE's 7.68TB NVMe Gen4 Mainstream Performance Read Intensive SSD in the 2.5-inch SFF U.3 format, mounted in a Basic Carrier (BC). The service spare for the same drive is P65197-001 (SPS-DRV SSD 7.68T SFF NVMe RI BC U.3 V2), so either number identifies it.

HPE's SSD QuickSpecs lists it as a hot-plug, single-port NVMe drive with TLC flash and digitally signed firmware, supported in Gen11 and Gen12 servers. It is rated at 1.0 drive write per day over five years, or 14,016 TB of lifetime writes, with maximum sequential reads of 6,200 MiB/s and writes of 3,870 MiB/s. HPE lists a 15 mm Z-height and a 21 W maximum power figure.

It is a Multi Vendor SKU: HPE qualifies several makers' drives under one capacity number, and an order of a given SKU arrives as a matched set from one vendor that meets the published specification.

The DL380 Gen11 QuickSpecs lists it among the NVMe drive options, and PartSurfer shows the spare inside factory DL380 Gen11 and DL385 Gen11 8SFF NVMe configurations. Because it is a BC drive, it fits the Gen11/Gen12 BC drive bays; older Gen10 servers use Smart Carrier (SC) drives and need an SC part instead.
