Cisco C1111-8PLTEEA ISR 1100 Router with LTE Advanced

This model is the integrated-LTE version of the Cisco ISR 1100 8-port router in the 1000 Series Integrated Services Routers. It has two Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports (one SFP-capable), an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet LAN switch and a built-in LTE Advanced CAT6 modem with SMS and GPS, but no Wi-Fi or DSL. Cisco's suffix EA marks the LTE variant for EMEAR and North America; the LA variant is for Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

It runs Cisco IOS XE, either in autonomous mode or controller-managed as an SD-WAN edge. Optional PoE is available on the LAN ports (4 PoE or 2 PoE+) when the 150 W external supply is used; the standard external supply is 66 W at 12 VDC. Maximum power consumption is listed at 23.9 W for the C1111 LTE models. The chassis measures 1.75 x 12.70 x 9.6 in, slightly deeper than the non-LTE C1111-8P, and weighs 4.50 lb. Cisco rates operation from 0 to 40°C at sea level.

Lifecycle: Cisco included it in its end-of-sale notice for select ISR 1000 routers with integrated CAT6 LTE. The last order date was January 30, 2025, and the last date of support is January 31, 2030. Cisco names the C1121-8PLTEP, which uses a pluggable LTE module instead of a built-in modem, as the replacement.

Siblings: the C1111-8P is the same router without LTE, and the C1111-4PLTEEA has four LAN ports. When replacing a unit, check that the LTE bands of the EA modem suit the carrier, and confirm which security and SD-WAN licences were on the original router.
