731126-001 is an HPE service spare battery pack. PartSurfer describes it as a 4.3 V NiMH battery with a 914 mm (36-inch) cable that provides backup power to the flash-backed write cache (FBWC) memory module on Smart Array controllers if the system loses power.
This is the per-controller battery design used before HPE moved to a single central Smart Storage Battery in Gen9 servers.
PartSurfer lists it in 51 products. Most are ProLiant DL580 Gen8 configurations, along with HP ConvergedSystem 500 for SAP HANA nodes, H3C R690 FlexServers and a DL580 Gen9 entry. It also appears as a standalone kit, HP BATT PACK NiMH 4.3V 36in.
Check the cable length and connector on the installed pack before ordering, because HPE used several FBWC battery variants with different cable lengths.
