P47184-B21 is the HPE SR932i-p Gen11 x32 Lanes 8GB Wide Cache PCI SPDM Plug-in Storage Controller, a full-height, half-length PCIe RAID controller for ProLiant Gen11 servers. The HPE service spare is P47623-001.
HPE's SR Gen11 controller QuickSpecs gives it four x8 SlimSAS ports for 32 storage lanes, a Microchip SmartROC 3200pe controller and a PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface. It supports 6G SATA, 24G SAS and 16G NVMe drives, up to 32 drives directly or 238 with an expander, and 64 volumes. RAID levels are 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, 1T and 10T, and mixed mode runs RAID and HBA drives together. The 8GB flash-backed write cache supports read-ahead and write-back caching, with SmartCache and SSD Smart Path.
For data at rest it offers controller-based encryption with local or remote key management, and self-encrypting drive support with host key management. A Smart Storage Battery or Hybrid Capacitor is optional. HPE warns that moving volumes or locked SED drives between SR and MR controllers is not supported.
The DL380 Gen11 QuickSpecs lists this controller. PartSurfer shows the spare in DL380 Gen11 servers, StoreEasy 1870, StoreOnce 5720 and 7700, and Alletra storage server builds. Its sibling in the same QuickSpecs is the SR416ie-m mezzanine controller, P39959-B21, with 16 lanes and 4GB of cache.
