The HP Integrity rx1600 is a rack server 3.4 in (86 mm) high and 26.8 in deep, with one or two low-voltage Itanium 2 (Deerfield) processors at 1.0 GHz with 1.5 MB cache. HP offered the configurable AB218A (one processor, 512 MB, 36 GB disk) and AB219A (two processors, 2 GB, 73 GB disk), and the A9901A base server with one processor. It runs HP-UX 11i v2, Linux and OpenVMS, and the internal DVD-ROM is required for OpenVMS.
Its eight DIMM slots take PC2100 ECC registered DDR266A in pairs of equal DIMMs, AB221A (512 MB) to AB224A (4 GB), for 512 MB to 16 GB. Each pair spans both memory buses, and chip sparing needs identical DIMMs loaded as quads.
Two PCI-X 64-bit 133 MHz slots each have a dedicated bus; one takes full-length cards and the other cards up to 7.5 in. Two hot-plug low-profile Ultra320 SCSI disks sit on one channel of the dual-channel controller, and the other channel is for external disks only. Disk options are AB420A (36 GB 15K), AB421A (72 GB 15K), AB422A (146 GB 10K) and AB423A (300 GB 10K), and maximum input power is 500 W.
The cards below come from the PartSurfer BOM for AB218A and the rx1600 QuickSpecs I/O list; the A6961-60011 board is the spare for option A7173A.
