The HPE Integrity rx2800 i4 is a 2U, two-socket HP-UX 11i v3 server, sold as the AT101A rack-optimized model or the AT102A Office Friendly tower. It takes Itanium 9500 processor kits: AT104A (9520, 1.73 GHz, 4-core, 20 MB), AT138A (9550, 2.4 GHz, 4-core, 32 MB), AT105A (9540, 2.13 GHz, 8-core, 24 MB) and AT106A (9560, 2.53 GHz, 8-core, 32 MB). HPE does not allow mixed processor frequencies in one rx2800 i4, so a second kit has to match the first. The Office Friendly AT102A supports the 9520 only and has no hot-swap fan redundancy. HPE lists HP-UX 11i v3 from the 1209 release for the i4.
Memory sits on up to four AT103A six-slot expansion boards, 24 low-voltage (1.35 V) registered DDR3 DIMMs in all, for up to 384 GB with 16 GB DIMMs. A one-processor rx2800 i4 takes at most two of those boards. DIMMs go in as identical pairs (same capacity, organization, ranks and speed), alternating between memory risers and, with two processors fitted, between processors. The kits are AT109A and AT109B (16 GB, 2 x 8 GB) and AT110A (32 GB, 2 x 16 GB).
Up to six PCIe Gen2 slots come from the AM228A 3-slot and AM245A 2-slot risers, which can be mixed. The embedded Smart Array P410i runs the eight hot-plug SFF bays; RAID 5 and 5+0 need the AM252A 512 MB FBWC kit, and RAID 6 and 6+0 also need the AM305A Advance Pack licence. HPE allows one P812 (AM312A) and up to three P411 (AM311A) cards, and the P411 goes only in the primary riser. Two 1200 W hot-plug supplies give N+N power, while 800 W low-line power is limited to one processor with up to 12 DIMMs or two processors with up to 8.
Most drives and cards below come from the PartSurfer bill of materials for AT101A, the rx2800 rack-optimized base, so several carry a spare number rather than the option number in the QuickSpecs. For example, option AH400A is spare 489190-001, and AH401A is 489191-001. The 6Gb SAS spares in that BOM (72 GB to 600 GB) are not the 12G digitally signed drives listed in QuickSpecs version 16, so match the drive type already in the server.
