The HP Integrity rx2600 is a 2U (3.4 in) server for one or two Itanium 2 processors: 1.0 GHz/1.5 MB (base AB323A), 1.4 GHz/1.5 MB (AB324A), 1.3 GHz/3 MB (A6870B) or 1.5 GHz/6 MB (A6873B). Processor speeds cannot be mixed in one rx2600. An optional pedestal (19.5 in) makes it a deskside unit, and its fans and power supplies are hot-swap; maximum weight is 56 lb (25 kg).
Twelve DIMM slots take PC2100 DDR266A chip-spare quads of equal DIMMs, loaded in the order shown on the system board: A9908A (1 GB), A9909A (2 GB), A9910A (4 GB) and AB228A (8 GB), up to 24 GB. HP also lists the rx2620 memory quads as supported in the rx2600.
All four PCI-X slots run 64-bit 133 MHz on dedicated buses, and the first has two I/O channels for 1.0 GB/s. The slots accept 3.3 V cards only, and SCSI cards are supported in slots 1, 2 and 3. Three hot-plug Ultra320 low-profile disks and a DVD drive load from the front.
HP-UX 11i v2, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, Linux and OpenVMS V8.2 or later are supported. This page lists two parts: the four-port 1000Base-TX adapter from the PartSurfer BOM for A6870B and the A7173A Ultra320 SCSI card (spare A6961-60011).
