ASR-920-PWR-A is the Cisco ASR920 AC Power Supply, a field-replaceable power supply module for the Cisco ASR 920 Series aggregation services routers. It is a Cisco part rather than an HPE part.
Cisco's ASR 920 data sheet says the routers offer a choice of AC and DC power supplies, which are redundant and built into the chassis, with two power supplies per router. It lists the AC input range as 85 to 264 VAC (nominal 100 to 240 VAC) at 47 to 63 Hz. Cisco gives this supply an MTBF of 1,598,000 hours.
The data sheet orders it alongside the ASR-920-PWR-D DC power supply and the newer 400W A920-PWR400-A AC and A920-PWR400-D DC supplies. Unused bays take the ASR920-PWR-BLNK blank cover.
ASR 920 models in the data sheet include the ASR-920-12SZ-IM, ASR-920-24SZ-M, ASR-920-24TZ-M and ASR-920-24SZ-IM. Cisco describes the 24-port M and IM models as modular PSU platforms. Their stated maximum power draw ranges from 130W (24TZ-M) to 180W (24SZ-IM). The ASR 920 is used for mobile backhaul, business Ethernet and small-cell aggregation.
Before ordering, check the label on the installed supply and the chassis model. A router being moved from AC to DC power needs the matching DC supply, not this module.
