The AIR-PWRINJ6= is Cisco's single-port mid-span power injector for access points that need 802.3at (PoE+) power, for use where the switch port cannot provide it. It delivers up to 30 W at 55 VDC on the AP port, is compliant with 802.3af (15.4 W) and 802.3at loads, and passes 10/100/1000 Mbps data. Cisco's Catalyst 9120AX data sheet lists it as the injector for that AP family.
Input is 100-240 VAC at 0.8 A, 50-60 Hz, through a C14 inlet. Cisco rates it from -20 to 40°C at 30 W and up to 50°C at 25 W, with a 100,000-hour MTBF. It is for indoor use only, is not weatherproof, and must not be installed in plenum airspace. The total cable run, including the supplied 2 m cable, can be up to 100 m. Two suppliers build it, with slightly different cases and LED positions, but Cisco states they are functionally identical.
Installation note from Cisco: if the injector's switch port is cabled to a PoE-enabled switch port, disable PoE on that port (power inline never). Otherwise the AP may get only 15.4 W intermittently, which can disable radios. The LED is amber when the injector is powered and turns solid green when an 802.3af or 802.3at load is detected.
Siblings: the AIR-PWRINJ5= is the 802.3af-only injector. Each injector ships with a power cord; check that the cord type suits your region when buying used.
