Cisco DP-9861-K9 Desk Phone 9861

The Desk Phone 9861 is part of Cisco's 9800 Series, and DP-9861-K9 is the standard Carbon Black version. Cisco's 9800 phones run one PhoneOS software build that can register to Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Webex Calling, BroadWorks or other third-party cloud calling platforms.

It has a 5-inch backlit color LCD at 800 x 480, 10 physical line keys and up to 130 line and programmable keys, plus a dedicated calendar button. An internal two-port Gigabit Ethernet switch passes through to a PC, with separate 802.1Q VLANs for voice and data. Audio features include AI-based background noise removal on both outgoing and incoming audio, and wideband extension of narrowband PSTN calls. The 9861 also has Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, a built-in ThousandEyes endpoint agent, and USB-A and USB-C ports. It is powered by IEEE PoE class 3, or by the Cisco Power Adapter 3, measures 8.9 x 9.0 x 1.9 in and weighs 1,095 g.

Variants: DP-9861NR-K9 is the no-radio version without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, DP-9861-L-K9 is the First Light color, and DP-9861-A-K9 has an Arabic keypad. The 9871 swaps the line keys for a 5-inch touch screen, and the 9851 has a 3.7-inch display with 6 line keys.

On PoE class 3 the 9861 supports one 9800 key expansion module; up to three need the Power Adapter 3. Check that your call-control platform and release support the 9800 Series before mixing them with older phones.
