Cisco PWR-IE240W-PCAC-L 240W Industrial DIN-Rail Power Supply

Cisco lists this as a 240 W AC-to-DC power supply in its industrial DIN-rail range, used to feed Catalyst industrial Ethernet switches and their PoE ports. It is a hardwired unit with screw terminals rather than a plug-in IEC inlet, and it is conformally coated for harsh environments.

Input is rated 100-240 VAC at 3.5 A, 50-60 Hz, with an operating range of 90-264 VAC and 91% typical efficiency. Output is 54 VDC (adjustable 48-56 VDC) at 4.5 A, with 20 ms hold-up time. Cisco rates it for -40 to +80°C operation, IP20, and requires power derating of 2.5% per °C above 50°C when mounted vertically or above 40°C when mounted horizontally. It is not approved for hazardous-location installations, and the Catalyst IE3300 and IE3400 data sheets note their listed IE supplies are not certified for smart grid use.

Cisco's IE3300 and IE3400 data sheets state that 54 VDC input is needed for PoE+, and list a 240 W base PoE budget for PoE base models such as the IE-3300-8P2S and IE-3400-8P2S. The PWR-IE480W-PCAC-L is the 480 W model in the same range. The PWR-IE240W-AC-IEC is the plug-in alternative at the same wattage, with an IEC 60320 C16 inlet and a separate DC output cable.

It measures 85 x 121 x 124.1 mm and weighs 0.96 kg. To confirm fit, check the switch's total power budget against the supply's 240 W.
