HPE Networking Instant On 1960 48G 40p Class4 8p Class6 PoE 2XGT 2SFP+ 600W Switch (JL809A)

HPE's Instant On Switch 1960 QuickSpecs list JL809A as the HPE Networking Instant On 1960 48G 40p Class4 8p Class6 PoE 2XGT 2SFP+ 600W Switch, the largest PoE access model in the 1960 series of smart-managed, stackable Gigabit switches for small and growing businesses.

It has 48 RJ-45 10/100/1000 ports: 40 deliver Class 4 PoE (up to 30 W) and 8 deliver Class 6 PoE (up to 60 W), the class HPE recommends for pan-tilt-zoom cameras and video-enabled IP phones. Uplinks are two 10GBASE-T ports and two 10G SFP+ ports. The PoE budget is 600 W in total, up to 480 W of it at Class 6. The power supply is internal; maximum power draw is 790 W at 100-127 V.

HPE quotes 176 Gbps switching capacity, 131 Mpps throughput, a 16,000-entry MAC table and 32 static routes, with sub-2.2 microsecond Gigabit latency. Up to four 1960 switches stack as one, up to 208 ports, managed locally or through the Instant On mobile app and cloud portal, with no licence or subscription fees.

J9283D DAC cables. To confirm fit, total the PoE draw of the cameras and access points to be powered against 600 W, and check that 8 Class 6 ports are enough.
