HP's retired 2610 QuickSpecs list J9089A as the HP 2610-48-PoE Switch, with 48 autosensing 10/100 PoE ports, two 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and two open mini-GBIC slots for Gigabit uplinks.
The 2610 Series offers Layer 2 switching plus static IP routing, and its PoE models are IEEE 802.3af compliant with up to 15.4 W per port.
The internal supply delivers 406 W of PoE, which an external power supply can supplement; HP also offers that EPS for redundancy.
Performance figures are 17.6 Gbps of routing/switching capacity, up to 13.0 million pps and latency below 4.4 µs at 1000 Mb.
Memory is 16 MB flash and 128 MB SDRAM on a 300 MHz MIPS processor, with a 2 MB buffer and an 8,000-entry routing table.
Physically it is a 1U unit 13.5 in. deep weighing 16.7 lb (7.58 kg) fully loaded, rated at 96 W without PoE and 590 W with PoE.
For the SFP slots, HP specifies mini-GBICs of revision B or later, for example J4858B or J4859C.
