PCIe slots: two-processor configurations get 11 slots (3×x16 Gen4, 2×x8 Gen4, 2×x8 Gen3, 4×x8 Gen3); single-processor configurations get 8 slots (1×x16 Gen4, 1×x8 Gen4, 2×x8 Gen3, 4×x8 Gen3). IBM requires at least one PCIe Ethernet adapter for proper server support.
