Compared to the S824, the TS824L is Linux only (hence, the "L") and is a two socket server that is standard with 12 2.5 inch disk drives and 11 PCI-Express 3.0 slots.
The primary diffence between the S824 vs S824L is the NVIDIA Tesla K40 GPU that is installed in a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot (a second GPU is an option).
The Tesla K40 coprocessor is speedy and enhances the already fast P8 chip.
