It is a storage platform that is designed to meet the fluctuating needs of virtualized environments.

HP says the StoreVirtual 4000 Storage is a andquot;Federated Storageandquot; solution, which basically means managing your storage at the Data Center level and not at individual system levels. It allows you to move data across tiers, locations, and between physical and virtual storage.

The B7E30A (the single item in the 4630 series so far) is different in that is made for the C Class Blade Enclosures HP 4630sb Storage Blade and HP 25 Bay D2700 disk enclosure (AJ941A).
