The X316A-R6 is a NetApp 6TB hard drive. NetApp's TTCRE HDD advisory lists it as X316_TTCRE06TA07, and a NetApp KB names an X316_WVELE06TA07 build.
NetApp's public firmware advisories give the current release for each model ID. X316_TTCRE06TA07: the TTCRE HDD release (lower latency, better write-abort handling) to NA03.
Its TTCRE firmware line is shared with the 4TB X336, X375 and X477 drives. The public tables list the part as X316.
NetApp's KB on X316_WVELE06TA07 describes a replacement drive showing Failed-Unsupported even after disk, shelf and DQP updates, so confirm the system supports the WVELE build before ordering.
To confirm a match, read the model ID in storage disk show or sysconfig -a, compare it with the part number on the drive label, and keep the Disk Qualification Package current so ONTAP recognises newly qualified drives; NetApp KBs show replacement drives reporting Failed-Unsupported when the system does not support that model ID.
