The HP Integrity rx1620 uses Fanwood Itanium 2 processors: the AB430A base ships with a 1.3 GHz/3 MB processor on a 400 MT/s (200 MHz) bus and the AB431A with 1.6 GHz/3 MB on 533 MT/s (267 MHz). Add-on processors are AB481A (1.3 GHz) and AB482A (1.6 GHz), up to two. The base includes one processor, core I/O, rack kit and one power supply; memory, storage and the operating system were bought separately.
Supported operating systems are HP-UX 11i v2, RHEL 3 Update 3 and RHEL 4, SLES 9, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise and Datacenter, and OpenVMS V8.2-1 or later. Windows builds need the Management Processor card, and OpenVMS and Windows builds need the internal DVD drive.
Memory takes the AB221A to AB224A pairs (512 MB to 4 GB) in eight slots, up to 16 GB, and chip sparing on the rx1620 needs quads of identical DIMMs. The two PCI-X 133 MHz slots are on dedicated buses, and the two hot-plug Ultra320 low-profile disks can be AB420A, AB421A, AD208A (146 GB 15K) or AD261A (300 GB 15K).
The PartSurfer BOM for AB430A ties the Smart Array 6402/6404 base board, several PCI-X network and Fibre Channel cards and the 36, 73 and 146 GB Ultra320 drive spares (AB420-67001, AB421-67001, AB422-67001) to this server.
