The HP 9000 rp3410 (base A9954A) is a 2U PA-RISC server with one processor socket: a dual-core PA-8900 at 800 MHz with 64 MB of L2 cache, shipped with one core active. Its maximum is that one module with both cores running, and the second core is enabled by ordering A9770A. A rack kit or pedestal mount had to be chosen with the base.
Memory is limited to 6 GB in twelve slots, using PC2100 DDR quads AB542A (1 GB) and A9773A (2 GB). Systems that still have 512 MB must add a second A9772A pair to complete a quad before other memory goes in, and a third 256 MB pair is not supported.
Two PCI-X slots are open, one with two I/O channels (1.0 GB/s) and one with a single channel (0.5 GB/s), and both accept 3.3 V cards only. Three hot-plug low-profile disks run on the dual-channel Ultra160 controller, two on one channel and one on the other. The rp3410 supports HP-UX 11i v1, v2 and v3, takes an optional second power supply for N+1, and fits up to 20 per 41U or 42U HP cabinet.
Disk options are AD186A (36 GB 15K), AD187A (73 GB 15K), AD206A (146 GB) and AD263A (300 GB), with A9919B DVD-ROM or AB348B DVD+RW. The 4Gb dual-port Fibre Channel spare below is in the PartSurfer BOM for A9954A.
