Lenovo lists 4XB7A17065 (feature code B8JA) as the ThinkSystem 2.5-inch PM1645a 6.4TB Mainstream SAS 12Gb hot-swap SSD, the top capacity of the PM1645a range. The PM1645a uses Samsung NAND and follows the PM1645 with improved random write performance.
The 6.4TB drive is rated for 230,000 random read IOPS and 140,000 random write IOPS at 4 KB, with 1,000 MBps sequential read and 1,000 MBps sequential write. Random read latency is 130 microseconds and random write latency is 45 microseconds. Endurance is 3 drive writes per day over five years, equal to 35,040 TB written, and typical power is 9 W for both reading and writing. Lenovo gives an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours.
The smaller PM1645a drives are 800GB, 1.6TB and 3.2TB (4XB7A17064, B8JD); the 3.2TB drive is also rated at 140,000 random write IOPS, while the 800GB model is rated at 90,000. None of the capacities has SED encryption.
