WS-C3560X-24P-S is the Catalyst 3560-X 24-port model with 24 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports that supply PoE+, running the IP Base feature set. PoE+ follows IEEE 802.3at and delivers up to 30 W per port. It is a 1RU standalone switch.
The default power supply is the 715 W C3KX-PWR-715WAC, which leaves 435 W of available PoE power. The switch takes dual modular power supplies and ships with one. Cisco lists an optional 440 W DC supply, the C3KX-PWR-440WDC, and the AC supplies take 100 to 240 VAC at 50 to 60 Hz.
Uplinks use hot-swappable network modules. Cisco lists the C3KX-NM-1G, C3KX-NM-10G, C3KX-NM-10GT and C3KX-SM-10G options for the 3560-X series. The switching fabric is 160 Gbps, the forwarding rate is 65.5 mpps with two 10GbE uplinks, and the series carries 256 MB of DRAM and 64 MB of flash with jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes.
The chassis measures 1.75 x 17.5 x 18.0 in (4.45 x 44.5 x 46.0 cm) and weighs 15.7 lb (7.1 kg). Cisco gives an MTBF of 181,370 hours.
Cisco announced end-of-sale on October 31, 2015; the end-of-sale date is October 30, 2016 and the last date of support is October 31, 2021. The notice names the WS-C3650-24PD-S as the replacement.
