C9500-24Y4C-E is the Network Essentials version of the 24-port 25G Catalyst 9500. It pairs with the Cisco DNA Essentials subscription tier, sold as C9500-DNA-L-E-3Y, -5Y or -7Y. Its 24 downlinks are SFP28 ports that run at 1, 10 or 25 Gigabit Ethernet, and four further ports give 40 or 100 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks. Breakout cable density is not supported on this model.
Switching capacity is up to 2.0 Tbps, at line rate for packets of 187 bytes and above, and forwarding is up to 1 Bpps on the UADP 3.0 ASIC. The Catalyst 9500 family supports StackWise Virtual, which joins two switches into one logical unit.
Power comes from C9K-PWR-650WAC-R, C9K-PWR-650WACL-R or C9K-PWR-930WDC-R supplies. The switch takes two in a 1+1 arrangement and one is fitted by default. Cooling is the built-in C9K-T1-FANTRAY fan tray, which holds up to four fans. The chassis weighs 20.99 lb (9.52 kg) with two supplies installed. RFID is chosen when the switch is ordered and cannot be added afterwards.
The Network Advantage twin is the C9500-24Y4C-A, a 48-port sibling is the C9500-48Y4C-E, and the full range is in Cisco switches.
