ICX6610-48-E is the 48-port copper member of the Brocade ICX 6610 stackable family, built with power-supply-side exhaust airflow and base software. Its 48 ports are 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45. Uplinks are 8 dual-mode 1/10 GbE SFP/SFP+ ports, which run at 10 GbE once an upgrade license is applied, and 4 x 40 GbE QSFP stacking ports. The hot-swappable fan assembly and 250 W power supply are included.
Switching capacity is 576 Gbps and forwarding capacity is 432 Mpps at wire speed. Stacks of up to eight units reach 1,280 Gbps of aggregated stacking bandwidth and keep running through hitless stacking failover.
With one power supply and one fan tray the unit weighs 6.78 kg. The chassis is 1U at 429 mm wide, 406.4 mm deep and 44 mm high, and the MTBF at 25 C is 408,144 hours. Fan direction is front to back; the -E suffix places the exhaust on the power-supply side, and the power supplies and fan assembly can be swapped to reverse it.
The software tier is base: IPv4 static routes, ECMP, host routes and virtual interfaces, with Layer 3 and Layer 4 ACLs. Premium software, which adds OSPF, PIM, VRRP and PBR, comes on the -PE and -PI versions. The MAC capacity is 32,000 addresses.
