ICX6610-24F-PE pairs the ICX 6610-24F hardware with premium Layer 3 software and power-supply-side exhaust airflow. The hardware is 24 SFP ports at 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps, 8 dual-mode 1/10 GbE SFP/SFP+ ports that need an upgrade license for 10 GbE, and 4 x 40 GbE QSFP stacking ports. A hot-swappable fan assembly and a 250 W power supply are included.
Premium software adds IPv4 and IPv6 static and dynamic routing: OSPF v2 and v3, RIP v1/v2 and RIPng, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, PIM-DM, policy-based routing, VRRP, VRRP-E and VRRPv3. BGP4, GRE, VRF and IPv6 over IPv4 tunnels belong to the advanced tier above it.
The 24F switches 528 Gbps and forwards 396 Mpps at wire speed. Eight units stack with 1,280 Gbps of aggregated stacking bandwidth, 150 m allowed between two stacked switches. Weight is 6.69 kg with one supply and one fan tray, the 1U chassis is 429 mm by 406.4 mm by 44 mm, and MTBF at 25 C is 400,449 hours.
Airflow is front to back, and the exhaust side of this version is the power-supply side. Reversing it means swapping the power supplies and the fan assembly together.
The matching base-software, intake-airflow unit is a separate part number; other models are in Brocade switches, including the ICX 6610 24-port Gigabit stackable switch.
