756657-B21 HP 480GB 6G SATA Value Endurance SFF SC G1 SSD

"756657-B21 is the HP 480GB 6G SATA Value Endurance SFF 2.5-in SC Enterprise Value G1 solid-state drive. It is a 480GB SSD with a 6Gb/s SATA interface in the 2.5-inch small form factor, carried in HPE's hot-plug Smart Carrier.

PartSurfer lists spare 757371-001: a 480GB hot-plug SATA SSD, 6Gb/sec, SFF, value endurance (VE), smart carrier (SC), with support for power loss protection (PLP), for use with Gen8 servers and beyond.

The retired QuickSpecs for both the ProLiant DL380p Gen8 and DL360p Gen8 list it, in the same SATA Value Endurance group as 756621-B21, the 120GB drive. The ProLiant BL460c Gen9 change log shows it added in version 6 (12 December 2014) and deleted as obsolete in version 16 (9 October 2015).

Value Endurance was an earlier HPE endurance name; the current HPE SSD QuickSpecs uses Read Intensive, Mixed Use and Very-read-optimized, each measured in drive writes per day over five years.

Fit check: a 2.5-inch Smart Carrier SATA bay on a DL380p Gen8, DL360p Gen8 or other server whose QuickSpecs lists 756657-B21, and a label with 756657-B21 or 757371-001. See the DL380p Gen8 parts hub; 756621-B21 (120GB) is the smaller Value Endurance drive, and 804593-B21 is a later 480GB SATA option on the same servers."
