872350-B21 is the HPE 960GB SATA 6G Mixed Use LFF SCC SM883 SSD. PartSurfer gives spare 872521-001: a 960GB hot-plug SSD, SATA, mixed use-3 (MU), 6Gb/sec, 3.5-inch LFF, smart carrier converter (SCC), digitally signed firmware.
The where-used list for 872521-001 has 44 entries, among them DL360 Gen10 and DL380 Gen10 CTO servers in 8SFF, 10SFF, 24SFF, 4LFF, 8LFF and 12LFF form, and DL160 and DL180 Gen10 CTO servers.
Because the spare is rated Mixed Use-3, the endurance row in HPE's SSD QuickSpecs for the MU-3 960GB applies: 5260TB written over life, 3 drive writes per day for five years.
Mixed Use is HPE's middle endurance class, rated above 1 and below 10 drive writes per day (DWPD) for five years, for balanced read/write work. HPE rates these SSDs to hold data for 3 months without power once they have reached maximum rated write endurance.
