872363-B21 is an HPE 1.6TB SATA solid-state drive in the Write Intensive class for hot-plug 2.5-inch (SFF) bays, in a Smart Carrier. HPE PartSurfer shows one spare, 872516-001, described as a 1.6TB SSD with SATA and 6Gb/s interface, 2.5-inch small form factor, write intensive (WI-3), smart carrier (SC) and digitally signed firmware. At 1.6TB it is double the capacity of the 800GB WI-3 option in the same range, and unlike that drive it needs no converter, since the 2.5-inch body goes straight into a standard SFF bay.
PartSurfer lists spare 872516-001 as used in DL360 Gen10, DL380 Gen10, DL160 Gen10, DL180 Gen10 and BL460c Gen10 CTO systems. HPE places Write Intensive on the write-driven side of its workload split, alongside virtualization, business intelligence and big-data analytics.
The 3.5-inch counterpart at half the capacity is 872361-B21 (800GB, smart carrier converter), and a Mixed Use 480GB 2.5-inch drive in a Smart Carrier is 877776-B21. The HPE SSD drives page lists the rest.
