The "smart LFF to SFF tray" wording is HPE's own description of the SCC: a 2.5-inch drive mounted in a tray that fills a 3.5-inch hot-plug bay. HPE's ProLiant DL380 Gen9 QuickSpecs list P09718-B21 under its own name.
Where-used entries for the spare include the DL360 G10 8TB ROBO server for Cohesity, an OEM DL380 Gen10 ESS server and an HPE DX reman drive.
