Behind Dell number HKK8C sits a Toshiba PX02SMF040: a 2.5-inch solid-state drive of 400GB that Dell qualifies for its PowerVault MD3 storage arrays.
For the MD3400, MD3420, MD3800i, MD3820i, MD3800f, MD3820f, MD3460, MD3860i and MD3860f, the support matrix (Rev. A25, Table 9) names HKK8C with model PX02SMF040, capacity 400GB, SED No and firmware A3B3.
The MD32XX/36XX Support Matrix (Rev. A24, June 2020) lists the same part in Table 12 with firmware A3B3. That matrix covers the MD3200, MD3220, MD3200i, MD3220i, MD3600i, MD3620i, MD3600f and MD3620f and the dense MD3260, MD3260i, MD3660i and MD3660f.
Both matrices carry array rules that affect a drive swap: a hot spare must be equal to or larger than any member drive of its disk group, and physical disk firmware can be upgraded online.
Fit check: confirm the array model is in one of the two matrices and the label reads HKK8C; firmware A3B3 is the level the MD34 matrix lists. Same-family drives: K41XJ (200GB) and TC2MH (800GB).
