4XB7A13654 is the ThinkSystem 2.5" PM1645 1.6TB Mainstream SAS 12Gb hot-swap SSD, Lenovo feature code B4A1. It pairs Samsung NAND with a 12 Gbps SAS interface that supports full-duplex transfers and active-active dual-port connectivity, and it suits mixed read-write workloads. The 1.6 TB capacity is specified for 3 drive writes per day over 5 years, or 8,760 TB of total bytes written.
Lenovo specifies 230,000 random read IOPS and 90,000 random write IOPS at 4 KB blocks, 1,000 MBps sequential read and 1,200 MBps sequential write at 128 KB, and random latency of 106 µs for reads and 60 µs for writes. Typical power is 9 W for both reads and writes and MTBF is 2,000,000 hours. Samsung power-loss protection, S.M.A.R.T. support and end-to-end data protection are included, and the drive complies with SAS-3.
Lenovo supports it in the ThinkSystem SD530, SN550, SN850, SR530, SR550, SR570, SR590, SR630, SR650, SR670, SR850, SR850P, SR860, SR950 and ST550. Lenovo has withdrawn the PM1645 from marketing. A newer Samsung PM1645a-based option is 4XB7A17065.
