813197-B21: HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 – blade – Xeon E5-2680V4 2.4 GHz – 256 GB RAM – No HDD

813197-B21 is the top configured model in HPE's v4-processor BL460c Gen9 line-up. The QuickSpecs gives its build as two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors (2.4GHz, 14 cores, 35MB cache, 120W), 256GB made of eight 32GB DDR4-2400 RDIMMs, an HPE FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 650FLB FlexibleLOM and a Smart Array P244br with RAID 0 and 1. No drives are included; the blade has two small-form-factor hot-plug bays.

All sixteen DIMM slots are present with two processors installed. HPE rates the blade for up to 512GB of RDIMM at up to 2133 MT/s, or up to 2TB of LRDIMM at up to 2400 MT/s, and states that RDIMM and LRDIMM cannot be mixed in one server.

Before replacing the system board, read the spare notes in PartSurfer. 838992-001 supports Xeon E5-2600 v3 only, while 843305-001 supports both v4 and v3, so the v4 board is the match for the E5-2680 v4. Other spares listed for this SKU are the 749800-001 P244br controller, 701536-001 650FLB adapter, 819412-001 32GB PC4-2400T-R DIMM, 744412-001 drive backplane and 777686-001 and 777687-001 heatsinks. HPE flags that a newer parts list is available for this option, so match against the label on the unit.

Blades one step down use the same chassis: 813196-B21 carries two E5-2660 v4 with 128GB and 813195-B21 carries two E5-2650 v4 with 64GB. Enclosure and interconnect parts sit in the HPE and other server parts hub.
