872479-B21 is the HPE 1.2TB SAS 12G Mission Critical 10K SFF SC Multi Vendor HDD, listed in HPE's hard drive QuickSpecs as the Smart Carrier version of the 1.2TB 10K drive. The Basic Carrier version is P28586-B21.
PartSurfer lists one spare, 872737-001: a 1.2TB SAS drive with a 12 Gb/s interface at 10,000 RPM, 2.5-inch SFF, Smart Carrier, with digitally signed firmware.
HPE's performance table gives 195 MiB/s maximum sequential throughput at the outer diameter, 165 IOPS for 128KiB random reads and 4.0 W at idle.
Mission Critical is HPE's high-workload class, aimed at email, ERP and CRM.
The drive appears in the Enterprise 12G SAS SFF drive list of the ProLiant DL380 Gen10 QuickSpecs.
HPE gives the 10K SFF drive dimensions as 15.6 mm high, 75.7 mm wide and 118.7 mm deep, with an operating range of 10 to 35 C.
