AP858A is the HPE P2000 300GB 6G SAS 15K rpm LFF dual-port Enterprise hard drive. PartSurfer gives spare 601775-001: a 300GB SAS hard drive, 15,000 RPM, 3.5-inch LFF, 6Gb/s interface, dual-port, hot-plug, for use with MSA2/P2000 only.
That "MSA2/P2000 only" restriction is the key fit point. The drive belongs in a P2000 G3 or MSA2000 array or drive enclosure, not in a ProLiant server bay.
Where-used entries for 601775-001 include the MSA P2000 G3 LFF drive enclosure, P2000 G3 FC bundles with six 300GB drives, MSA2000fc and MSA2000sa bundles with eight, and the P2000 Dual I/O LFF drive enclosure.
Compared with the earlier MSA2 15K drives, this one has a 6Gb/s SAS interface, as HPE's option name and spare record both state, and it is listed as hot-plug.
Fit check: 605474-001 is the 1TB 6G midline spare for the same P2000 enclosures, and AJ735A the older MSA2 146GB 15K drive.
