IBM #EM94 is a 128 GB DDR4 memory feature for the IBM Power System S814 server, machine type 8286. The module is a 128 GB DIMM running at 1600 MHz with 4Gbit DDR4 DRAM, and each feature provides one CDIMM.
Memory is plugged in pairs of two identical feature codes. The server definition has the single CDIMM configuration exceptions for very entry 1-socket servers. DDR4 memory cannot be mixed on the same server with DDR3 memory.
Each #EM94 requires one CDIMM slot and firmware 860 or later. The minimum required quantity is 0 and the maximum allowed is 8, which is also the maximum on the initial order.
The operating systems required are Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, AIX 6.1 and 7.1 or later, and IBM i 7.1 TR8 and 7.2 or later. The feature can be ordered on the initial order or as an MES, customer set-up is supported, and no return parts apply to the MES. Other IBM server memory is in IBM server memory.
