IBM Storwize V7000 was originally developed from Enterprise Level tech, but targeted at mid-range buyers.
Compatibility and specifications
Feature AHF4 is the 1.8 TB 10,000 rpm 2.5-inch SAS hard drive for the Storwize V7000 on machine type 2076. IBM's 2016 letter for the Storwize V7000 Model 624 (116-080) lists AHF4 for the 2076-624 control enclosure, next to AHF2 (900 GB) and AHF3 (1.2 TB). The 1.8 TB 10K drive first reached the Storwize family in February 2015; the Lenovo-channel letter 115-029 for the same Storwize V7000 hardware describes it as a dual-port, hot-swappable 12 Gb SAS drive that runs at up to 12 Gb per second in Storwize V7000 and at 6 Gb per second in other Storwize models. In Gen2 V7000 systems it goes in the 2.5-inch bays of the control enclosure and the 24F expansion enclosure. IBM lists end of service for the 2076-624 as December 31, 2024.
