K9CD3 is a Dell 14 TB 3.5-inch hard drive at 7,200 rpm, built by Western Digital as model WUH721414AL5200, formatted 512e and without self-encryption. Dell lists it in the MD1400 and MD1420 enclosure support matrix at firmware SS08.
It is the only 14 TB drive among the Dell parts in this group, sitting between the 12 TB options (7KT9W and YMN53 from Seagate, DK7C9 from Toshiba) and the 16 TB options. Its nearest relative is VF206, the 16 TB WD WUH721816AL5200, which Dell lists more widely: PowerVault ME5 and ME52 arrays and the MD24 enclosures as well as the MD14xx. If you plan to move drives into an ME5 array later, VF206 is the one with that listing.
K9CD3 was not found in the ME4 or ME5 matrices checked, so treat it as an MD1400 or MD1420 drive unless the matrix for your array or server lists it.
To confirm fit, read the WD model and Dell part number on the drive label, check the MD14xx support matrix or your server's drive list, and update to firmware SS08 before rebuilding an array.
