P09693-B21 is the HPE option for a 1.92TB SATA 6Gb/s read-intensive (RI) SSD in a 3.5-inch large-form-factor Smart Carrier Converter (SCC), with digitally signed firmware. PartSurfer lists one spare, P09848-001. SCC stands for smart carrier converter, which is a tray that carries a 2.5-inch drive into an LFF position.
P09848-001 serves more than this one option. Its where-used record names the 1.92TB RI LFF SCC drive in plain and Reman forms, the 960GB RI LFF LPC drive in plain and Reman forms, the HPE DL360 Gen10 8TB ROBO Server for Cohesity, and an HPE DX 1.92TB SATA RI SCC FIO Reman SSD.
HPE places the read-intensive class with boot, web serving and read caching. What to check first is the tray: SCC drives sit in a Smart Carrier Converter, whereas the 960GB LPC drive in the same record uses a Low Profile Converter.
