The SFP-10G-LR-S is a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ module for single-mode fibre. It transmits and receives at 1310 nm (window 1260 to 1355 nm) and reaches 10 km over G.652 single-mode fibre, with a minimum cabling distance of 2 m. It uses a dual LC/PC connector, and APC patch cords are not supported.
The -S suffix marks the S-Class version of the module. The difference from the plain SFP-10G-LR is that S-Class modules do not support FCoE, so Fibre Channel over Ethernet links need the non-S part.
Power consumption is 1 W and the temperature class is commercial, 0 to 70 C (32 to 158 F).
SFP+ modules in this family are used on a wide range of Cisco platforms, including ASR 1000 and 9000 routers, Catalyst 2960-X, 3560-X, 3750-X, 3850 and 4500-X switches, and Nexus 2000, 3000, 4000, 9000 and 9500 switches.
