HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 P24844-B21 Server, Xeon Gold 5218R, 32 GB, S100i, 8SFF NC

This is a factory-configured HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 (2U): one Xeon Gold 5218R processor, 32 GB of registered DDR4, S100i storage and eight 2.5-inch drive bays, per HPE PartSurfer's model description for P24844-B21. Intel lists the 5218R as a 2nd Gen Xeon Scalable (Cascade Lake) processor with 20 cores / 40 threads, 2.10 GHz base and 4.00 GHz turbo, 27.5 MB cache and a 125 W TDP, with memory support up to DDR4-2667.

Because Intel caps the 5218R at DDR4-2667, memory in this model runs at no more than 2667 MT/s whatever the DIMM rating. Storage is the embedded S100i SR Gen10 software RAID rather than a controller card; HPE notes it must be enabled, runs in UEFI mode only and exposes 12 of its 14 SATA ports. NC stands for HPE's Network Choice: this 5218R model has no embedded LOM, and HPE ships it with a pre-selected FlexibleLOM (the QuickSpecs name the HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-port FLR-SFP+ X710-DA2 Adapter).

Drive bays start at 8 SFF with none installed, and HPE lists the 8SFF NC chassis as expandable to 24 SFF front plus 6 SFF rear. The 5218R configuration runs on an 800 W Flex Slot supply, with three PCIe slots standard (x8, x16, and x8 with dual M.2); adding a matching second 5218R raises that to eight slots, since HPE does not allow mixed processor models.
