ST8000NM0075 is a Seagate Exos 7E8 model number for an 8 TB 3.5-inch 7,200 rpm hard drive. Seagate's Exos 7E8 support page lists it beside the ST8000NM0085, the 8 TB 512e SAS self-encrypting (SED) version, which makes the 0075 the non-encrypting choice.
In Dell systems the drive carries Dell part number GKWHP. Dell's MD1400 and MD1420 enclosure support matrix lists GKWHP as the ST8000NM0075: 3.5-inch, 8 TB, 7.2K, 512e, Seagate, firmware PS26, SED No. Buyers searching the Seagate number should also check for GKWHP (sometimes printed 0GKWHP) on the label, since Dell-branded drives run Dell firmware.
Dell lists other 8 TB Seagate drives for its PowerVault ME4 arrays: VFP4M and M40TH (ST8000NM0185, firmware PT55 and PT52), 0N660 (ST8000NM014A) and C5HD0 (ST8000NM024B). Those are different Seagate models, so match the exact model if your array's support matrix lists only one of them.
To confirm fit, read the Seagate model and Dell part number on the drive label, check your enclosure or server against Dell's support matrix, and update to the listed firmware before rebuilding a RAID set.
