IBM feature #2738 is the 2-port USB PCI Adapter, CCIN 28EF, for IBM Power Systems servers of machine types 82xx, 91xx and 94xx. It is a 32-bit, 33 MHz high-performance expansion adapter and a single-slot, half-size PCI card that uses +5V or +3.3V signaling. The bus architecture is PCI 2.2 compliant, and the adapter is a bus master.
The card provides two downstream USB ports, each with the full 12 MHz bandwidth. It is fully compliant with the Universal Serial Bus Specification Revision 1.1 and 2.0, compatible with the OpenHCI Open Host Controller Interface Specification for USB Release 1.10a, and EHCI compatible. Integrated dual-speed USB transceivers are used, up to 127 devices are supported on each port, and peripherals can be hot-swapped and woken up.
The connector on each port is a standard USB single pin-type series A receptacle. The adapter has no wrap plug and ships with no cables, and it meets FCC Class B.
