739470-B21 is a 300GB hot-plug SATA solid state drive for 3.5-inch large form factor bays, running at 6Gb/sec and built to HPE's value endurance (VE) tier. PartSurfer shows two spare numbers under this option, and both are 300GB hot-plug LFF drives in a SmartDrive carrier (SC).
The two spares differ in one word. 739714-001 is described plainly as value endurance in a SmartDrive carrier. 739955-001 adds Enterprise Value to that description. HPE does not explain the difference in PartSurfer, so when you need a replacement that matches an installed unit, read the spare number on the drive label and match it exactly.
The carrier is the main fit point. HPE's spare text says SmartDrive Carrier (SC), while HPE uses SCC for the smart LFF to SFF conversion tray on its other 3.5-inch SSDs, so confirm on the physical drive whether the tray is a native LFF carrier or a converter.
PartSurfer does not state generation support for either spare, so there is no Gen7, Gen8 or Gen9 claim here. Use your server's own drive support list for the final fit decision.
